General Purpose

ITHR Team Lead with responsibility over SuccessFactors, SAP HCM, and other software systems. Propose SuccessFactors, SAP, and other technical solutions that meet business process needs based on expert level SuccessFactors, SAP, information technology and business process knowledge in the area of HR. Lead and perform complex SAP HCM application and SuccessFactors configuration as needed to meet new and changing business needs. Write business cases, gather requirements, complete gap analysis, and research technical and functional solutions. Provide technical and business process expertise to resolve end user support issues and provides one-on-one and group training. Lead project activities including work with various cross functional and technical groups including the SAP Development team to design and test complex programs, reports, interfaces, forms, and data conversions.


  • Lead business analysis and work with appropriate resources to research alternatives, develop estimates, and provide leadership in the implementation of solutions.
  • Provide expert level understanding of SAP HCM configuration, SuccessFactors, and technical functionality in the assigned business areas.
  • Perform highly complex SAP configuration including table maintenance, schema changes, and implementation of new configuration in support of defined business requirements.
  • Provide expert level troubleshooting of technical issues and problems as they arise including the ability to perform and interpret ABAP code debugging functionality.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and drive SAP technologies, including SuccessFactors, to develop or modify programs and procedures to enhance systems or solve business problems and meet business needs.
  • Support all required business usage and interface activities including data extraction, technical object development, report development, testing, and provisioning.
  • Work closely with and drive internal and external infrastructure teams to ensure that required system components are in place and functioning. This includes the teams supporting databases, enterprise storage, web services, network services, application servers, etc.
  • Write and coordinate business change requests, perform requirements gathering and complete gap analyses, research technical and functional solutions, recommend viable alternative solutions, evaluate processes in relationship to business needs.
  • Consult with management to prioritize work for the team and regularly meet with business stakeholders to ensure priorities and expectations are appropriately set.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and/or lead HR technology demonstrations.
  • Apply high level business knowledge to determine the best use of SuccessFactors, SAP, and other technology capabilities.
  • Maintain the environment of compliance and controls that exists within the SAP and non-SAP landscape.
  • Lead project management tasks for small enhancements and small/medium scaled SAP and other technology driven projects.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of seven years configuration experience in SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, or other ERP software solutions.
  • Expert level knowledge of specific business processes in the assigned area of  Human Resources, inclusive of Benefits, Organization Management, Compensation, Payroll, Recruiting/Marketing, Learning, Succession Management, and Time.
  • Strong knowledge of all technologies required for support of individual areas of responsibility. Proven ability to translate complex business requirements to SAP/Non-SAP technical solutions.
  • Strong project management skills including project leadership, task identification, scheduling, and cost/expenditure identification and management.
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Proven ability to work within a project matrix organization.
  • Ability to work across an organization in order to achieve desired results.
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications to gather, analyze, model, and present information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature.
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds; ability to work as a leader and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to drive, develop, and present alternatives and recommendations.


  • Experience leading SAP and non-SAP projects, and experience managing small teams of people performing SAP and non-SAP technical support activities.
  • Seven to ten years SAP configuration experience and/or SuccessFactors.
  • Knowledge of applicable company policies and procedures; applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations.Exposure to HR Workforce Planning and Analytics
