General Purpose

Under general supervision, assist in the execution of PacifiCorp’s companywide ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) program, including the continual development, implementation, coordination and maintenance of related compliance and oversight activities.

Responsibilities of this position include the following:
  • Assist in the performance of day-to-day execution of all aspects of PacifiCorp’s Information Security Management System.
  • Develop and maintain familiarity and understanding of applicable ISO standards.
  • Conduct auditing activities to confirm conformance with applicable ISO requirements.
  • Partner with and provide guidance to in-scope business groups.
  • Support audits and reviews of program performed by other groups.
  • Work with business groups to develop, maintain, and update asset inventories, risk assessments, and risk treatment plans.
  • Recommend project plans, timelines, and budgets to management, and monitor progress against approved plans.
  • Provide strategic direction in developing, implementing and evaluating project plans, goals and timelines.
  • Develop effective communication and implementation plans to ensure that deliverables from significant programs and initiatives are sustainable within the organization.
  • Facilitate progress on all compliance related activities, including mitigation plan development and documentation of completion.
Requirements of this position include the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • A minimum of three years professional experience.
  • Knowledge of regulatory rules, policies, procedures and practices.
  • Project management, analysis, assessment and investigation skills to determine recommendations or plans of action.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and resolve internal or external compliance issues which may be sensitive in nature.
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds; ability to work as a member of a team and ability to present alternatives and recommendations.
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications.
