General Purpose

Conduct analysis through research, gathering and interpretation of data, development of alternatives and recommendations.   Present analysis and recommendations to management and may implement selected alternative.  Analyses include, but are not limited to, feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, trending/forecasting, financial analysis, and budget analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Review contracts and negotiate with vendors.
  • Develop ad hoc and predetermined reports.
  • Develop and publish specifications for vehicles, trailers, and specialized utility equipment with a strong focus on safety, ergonomics, functionality, serviceability, value, aesthetics and regulatory compliance.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Develop annual reports of EPACT related documents and oversee the Company’s fleet related environmental requirements.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to customers regarding vehicle status and inventory.
  • Process and audit vendor invoices.
  • Facilitate the transportation of vehicles using internal and external resources.
  • Recommend equipment/vehicle usage to management.
  •  

Responsibilities for the Senior position include:

  • Supervise contractors and contractor personnel.
  • Act as Transportation Department liaison to field locations, including presentation explaining services provided and equipment related subjects.

Requirements

Requirements for this position include the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of three years experience performing relevant work in the automotive industry.
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications to gather, analyze, and model information.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature.
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds; ability to present alternatives and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of applicable company policies and procedures; applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations. Project management skills including leadership, scheduling, and task follow-through to insure project completion.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of equipment inspections - including, but not limited to repeated bending, lifting, reaching and squatting.
  • Familiarity with maintenance and repair requirements of light duty vehicles, heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.

Requirements for the Senior position include:

  • A minimum of five years experience performing relevant work in the automotive industry.
  • Project management skills including project leadership, task identification, scheduling, and cost/expenditure identification

Preferences

Preferences:

  • Familiarity with website design and production; familiarity with multiple database platforms.
  • Working knowledge of MS Project.
