Power Delivery Operations Adviser

General Purpose

Provides dedicated operational performance, compliance, financial, and capital governance support for Power Delivery field operations. This position is responsible for analyzing district performance, identifying unit-cost and productivity drivers, monitoring compliance and regulatory obligations, improving forecast accuracy, and supporting continuous improvement across operational districts. The role partners with Operations, Investment Delivery, Asset Management, Finance, Compliance, and other business partners to improve cost performance, capital execution, work readiness, compliance timelines, and overall operational accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and initiatives pertaining to operational performance, compliance, financial, and capital governance for Power Delivery operations.
• Analyze district-level performance to identify trends, cost drivers, productivity opportunities, and operational performance gaps. 
• Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards related to unit costs, crew productivity, contractor utilization, overtime, compliance execution, capital performance, and forecast accuracy. 
• Partner with Operations Managers to provide actionable insights that support improved safety, reliability, customer service, work execution, and operational discipline. 
• Provide governance and performance oversight for district-level capital projects including cost tracking, schedule performance, forecast accuracy, and variance identification. 
• Monitor completion of annual safety inspections, NESC violation corrections, wildfire-related work, Public Utility Commission commitments, and other regulatory or compliance-driven obligations. 
• Identify delayed compliance activities, schedule risks, cost variances, and emerging performance issues; partner with responsible teams to develop corrective actions. 
• Evaluate contractor performance, workforce utilization, and crew-sizing assumptions to support better resource planning and cost accountability. 
• Support financial stabilization and capital governance efforts by improving forecast accuracy, spend visibility, project controls, and accountability. 
• Conduct root-cause analysis on cost, productivity, compliance, and scheduling issues and recommend process improvements. 
• Provide analysis and recommendations to support operational decision-making, resource prioritization, compliance execution, and continuous improvement initiatives. 

Requirements

. 

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• A minimum of seven years of related experience in utility operations, asset management, finance, project controls, compliance, field operations support, operational performance, or capital program delivery. 
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate operational, financial, compliance, and project performance data. 
• Ability to develop, interpret, and communicate KPIs, dashboards, forecasts, and performance trends. 
• Knowledge of electric utility operations, capital project delivery, compliance programs, inspection programs, or field work management processes. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes, communicate recommendations, and partner effectively across business functions. 
• Ability to identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Ability to organize complex information, manage multiple priorities, and provide timely analysis to support operational and financial decision-making. 
• Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, capital governance, project controls, or compliance tracking processes. 
• Proficiency with business reporting tools, spreadsheets, dashboards, and data analysis applications. 

Preferences

• Experience with electric transmission or distribution operations. 
• Experience supporting compliance, inspection, wildfire mitigation, reliability, or corrective-action programs. 
• Knowledge of Power Delivery work management, estimating, construction, maintenance, or field processes. 
• Experience with unit-cost analysis, productivity benchmarking, contractor-utilization analysis, or workforce planning. 
• Knowledge of company capital approval processes, compliance requirements, policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. 
• Experience partnering with Operations, Finance, Asset Management, Investment Delivery, Compliance, or other cross-functional teams to improve business outcomes.

Hiring Range: $117,400 - $161,370
