Responsibilities

A Journeyman Communications Technician will be responsible for maintaining PacifiCorp Communication systems; including but not limited to Voice and Data communication systems, Telephone systems, PBX's, Microwave radio systems, Land Mobile Radio systems, SCADA systems, Power Line Carrier equipment, Chart recorders, Telemetry, Fiber Optics/Lightwave and associated switching or termination equipment. The Communication Technician will also be responsible for installing, testing and certifying any or all of the above listed equipment. They usually work independent work assignments but may be assigned to work with a Lead Communications Technician or Senior Communications Technician and other company personnel as needed. When assigned, this person will direct the work of an Assistant Communications Technician. The Communication Technician is responsible for vehicles, tools and materials supplied by the Company for use in this position. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Selected Candidate needs to currently have, or be able to obtain within 6 months, a FCC general radio telephone license or equivalent.
