General Purpose

This position is responsible for functional oversight of a location or segment of a larger department. Under direction of management implements business objectives, strategies, and plans and oversees daily work functions. Under direction of management implements and supports company programs and policies.

Responsibilities

•    Plan and manage the work of the functional group.
•    Manage and support activities for maintenance planning/scheduling and local work management business process maintenance activities.
•    Under direction of management develop complex studies and strategies for various company planning activities. 
•    Create a level of consistency in planning function and work management practices across the station. 
•    Develop and establish policies and procedures. 
•    Responsible for RCM program, including PM, Precision and Predictive Maintenance programs across the station including budget preparation.
•    Manage long range O&M Plans.   
•    Develop best practices standards.  
•    Develop large project and overhaul planning.
•    Lead the functional team; direct day-to-day activities, and provide guidance and recommendations.
•    Provide input into team employee performance reviews. Flag performance and personnel issues for manager resolution.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • A minimum of seven years experience in power plant or process plant work. 
  • A minimum of three years people or functional management experience.  
  • Management skills including the ability to establish objectives, execute policy, monitor resources, and manage the development or implementation of a system, program, or process.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills to provide input into policy decisions, and to mobilize resources to produce desired business results.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate employees, use oral and written communication to communicate objectives and action plans.
  • Knowledge of Company’s strategic plan, objectives for specific area, as well as Company’s policies, procedures, and practices and federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations.
  •  Knowledge in labor relations, bargaining agreements, and protocol when addressing labor issues.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

 

 

Preferences
  • Working knowledge of SAP,
  • Power plant operating training and experience. Experience in procedure writing. Experience in technical training field.
