General Purpose

Responsible for safely and efficiently oiling, inspecting and checking the operation of a dragline according to designed criteria usually after progressing through performing duties as a ground person dragline. Inspects equipment before operating and insures that it is in safe, operable condition. Must be qualified to learn the operation of the dragline and assume responsibilities of a dragline operator on an intermittent/relief basis.  All work will be preformed in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements and company policies for the mine to meet its budgeted goals in safety, cost, productivity and environmental requirements.

Requirements

 

  • A high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of three years of surface mining experience
  • Prefer experience performed in progression as ground person dragline.
