General Purpose

Responsibilities

Duties include responsibility for safely and efficiently diagnosing and performing maintenance repairs on all light equipment (i.e. pickup trucks), water pumps, hotsy machines, trailers and de-watering trucks used in a surface mining operation. Other equipment may include forklifts, Gehl loaders and manlifts. Perform preventative maintenance such as oiling and greasing on such equipment. All work will be performed in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements to keep the equipment at an acceptable availability and reliability for the mine to meet its budgeted goals in safety, cost, productivity and environmental commitments. 

Requirements

• A high school diploma, GED or proof of equivalent.
• A minimum of three years of light equipment mechanical experience. 
• Must pass a written test.
