General Purpose
The Assoc revenue requirement analyst assists with analyses of accounting and financial information through research, gathering, and interpretation of data. Specifically, this position assists with preparation of revenue requirement exhibits and other financial reports, in support of PacifiCorp’s regulatory filings. Analyses include, but are not limited to trending, forecasting, modeling, and reviewing financial data.
The Revenue requirement analyst conducts analyses of accounting and financial information through research, gathering, and interpretation of data. Presents analysis and recommendations to management and may implement selected alternatives. Specifically, this position prepares revenue requirement exhibits and other financial reports in support of PacifiCorp’s regulatory filings. Analyses include, but are not limited to trending, forecasting, modeling, and reviewing financial data.
Responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Assist with financial analyses, accounting data research and review, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret financial data for trends, forecasts, and modeling.
- Prepare and respond to requests for financial analysis and accounting information, discovery or information requests in regulatory proceedings.
- Assist with preparation of written testimony, exhibits, and other financial earnings reports filed with state regulatory commissions and other external organizations.
In addition to the above, the revenue analyst responsibilities include the following:
- Conduct financial analyses, accounting data research and review, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.
- Draft written testimony, exhibits, and other financial earnings reports filed with state regulatory commissions and other external organizations.
- Present analysis and recommendations to department management that impact decisions regarding regulatory policies and strategies.
- Interpret rules and regulatory orders to internal parties.
- As assigned, oversee the work of associate analysts.
Requirements for this position include the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in data gathering, analysis, interpretation, trending, forecasting and modeling.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult with internal customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature.
- Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds and ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate projects and be accountable for project outcomes.
- Basic understanding of utility rate making principles and financial reporting standards preferred.
- Experience with SAP accounting software preferred.
- Travel may be required.
In addition to the above, the revenue analyst requirements include the following:
- A minimum of three years of regulatory, accounting, or financial analysis experience.
- Understanding of utility rate making principles and financial reporting standards preferred.
- Data gathering, analysis, interpretation, trending, forecasting, and modeling skills.
- Ability to present alternatives and recommendations.
- Ability to independently perform analysis and prepare regulatory filings.
- Ability to oversee work of less experienced analysts.

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 0-12% of salary.
