General Purpose
Assists in the execution of PacifiCorp’s internal compliance program, including the continual development, implementation, coordination and maintenance of compliance activities, concerning Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requirements as well as the documentation and development of PacifiCorp evidence packages.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day execution of all aspects of PacifiCorp’s companywide regulatory compliance program to help ensure compliance with applicable FERC regulatory requirements, including standards of Conduct for Transmission Providers, rules concerning affiliate restrictions, and the Open Access Transmission Tariff.
- Facilitate the development Maintenance of the processes, controls, and other activities that demonstrate PacifiCorp’s compliance with FERC requirements.
- Conduct periodic monitoring (e.g. spot checks, reviews, assessments) on the performance of controls that support FERC compliance.
- Acts as a liaison between PacifiCorp and neighboring utilities with regard to the FERC rules and initiatives.
- Support in developing, maintaining and providing compliance documentation.

- Conduct regular evaluations on the design and implementation of PacifiCorp’s internal compliance program.
- Implement all programs, procedures and policies set forth by business units to facilitate compliance including, change control, configuration management, asset management, and security testing procedures.
- Recommend project plans, timelines, and budgets to management, and monitor progress against approved plans.
- Provide strategic direction in developing, implementing and evaluating project plans, goals and timelines.
- Develop effective communication and implementation plans to ensure that deliverables from significant programs and initiatives are sustainable within the organization.
- Collaborate with plant and field personnel and other staff to provide input and technical services in the development and execution of FERC related projects.
- Review and address compliance issues, including root cause analysis, preparation of mitigation plans, ensuring completion of associated reporting and posting requirements, and follow-up activities to prevent recurrence of identified compliance deficiencies.
- Facilitate progress on all compliance related activities, including mitigation plan development and documentation of completion
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- A minimum of five years professional experience.
- Knowledge of regulatory rules, policies, procedures and practices.
- Project management, analysis, assessment and investigation skills to determine recommendations or plans of action.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and resolve internal or external compliance issues which may be sensitive in nature.
- Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds; ability to work as a member of a team and ability to present alternatives and recommendations.
- Proficient with the use of personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications.

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 15.00% of salary.
