Responsibilities

Duties include responsibility for safely and efficiently troubleshooting and performing repairs, including low/medium/high voltage electrical work of varying degrees, on all types of mining equipment used in a surface coal mining operation including mine-site facilities. All work will be performed in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements to keep the equipment at an acceptable availability and reliability for the mine to meet its budgeted goals in safety, cost, productivity and environmental commitments

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • A minimum of three years of surface mining experience.
  • Possess federal (MSHA) electrical certification for low, medium, and high voltage.

This position requires a post-offer, pre-placement physical capacity screening, conducted by a licensed physical therapist, to assure the candidate meets the physical demands of the job. The screening will assess only the identified physical demands of the job being applied for.

Preferences

Surface coal mine experience.
