Responsibilities

The Substation Operations Maintenance Worker position tasks requirements to perform will include (but not limited to):

  • Fixed Platform Crane Operation (with certification)
  • Swing Cab Crane (with certification)
  • Snow Plowing
  • Equipment Operation
  • Substation Safe Entry
  • Transformer Oil Samples
  • LTC Oil Samples
  • Substation Inspections
  • Battery Inspections
  • General Substation Maintenance - (Not including Journeyman Maintenance  work)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or proof of equivalent.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Must be able to work at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to work inside electrical substations another high voltage environments.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement within six (6) months of starting position.
  • Must have or be able to obtain the company required fixed & swing cab crane certifications within eighteen (18) months of starting the position.
