Responsibilities

• A Storekeeper is an employee, who, works alone or with a Utility Person.
• Receives, ships and put up material orders and all other work, as required;
• Requisitions materials as necessary to maintain established stock levels.
• Maintains Storeroom records
• Position orders, stocks, and runs parts for the maintenance and repair of company vehicles covering over 1,140 pieces of equipment.
• Position also delivers CDL vehicles and equipment to and from vendors for repairs, delivering new vehicles and equipment to the field and delivering loaner vehicles and equipment to the field for use.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Other duties may be assigned.
• A Storekeeper is an employee who is in charge of the Plant Storeroom and who (a) is an experienced Plant Material Man, (b) supervises the work of material men, (c) prepares material receipts and issue records, (d) requisitions material as necessary to maintain established stock levels, (e) works as a Material Man as required, and (f) maintains such other records as may be required in the operation of the Storeroom.
• Supervisory Responsibilities only when upgraded.
• Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without an accommodation.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Class A CDL required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
• Certificates and Licenses: All safety related items (Electrical, asbestos, lead based paint, hearing, pulmonary, First Aid, OSHA, etc.) and all required Environmental items for ISO 14001
• Qualified to operate a Forklift
• Have the ability to recognize unsafe situations
• Work Environment: The employee may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non¬ weather); extreme heat (non-weather) and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position may require the use of hard hats, eye protection, protective gloves, long sleeved shirts, and steel toe shoes
• Respirator Use: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee will be required to wear a disposable filter mask 1/3 of the time. Required to wear a half face piece mask 1/3 of the time. Required to wear a full face piece mask 1/3 of the time. Required to use a powered-air purifying system 1/3 of the time. Required to use supplied air 1/3 of the time. Required to use a self-contained breathing apparatus 1/3 of the time. May be required to use any of the above respirators for different circumstances; job does not usually require Storekeeper to wear a respirator

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
